Through our long-term commitment, we take on social and environmental responsibility. In addition to saving money by using resources and energy more efficiently, we want to make a big difference to the environment and society as a company.
Electricity from the solar park
Since mid-2024, we have been using the 10.5-hectare Huisheim solar park to directly supply our machinery with renewable solar power. The 11 MWp photovoltaic system feeds its electricity directly into our company grid, enabling significantly more climate-friendly and energy-efficient production.
We now cover around 30% of our electricity requirements with our own PV energy, which sustainably reduces our CO₂ emissions and strengthens our independence from fossil fuels. Surplus electricity is fed into the public grid —a further contribution to the regional energy transition.
photovoltaics
With our existing photovoltaic systems on the roofs of the production halls, we achieve a total output of over 1.3 MWp.
By adding up the output of the solar systems, 33% of the electricity requirement is generated sustainably by photovoltaics. In summary, it can be said that 100% of book production is powered by renewable energy.
Use of thermal energy
Thanks to the waste heat recovery from our heatset web presses, we heat our entire production and administration facilities in a climate-neutral manner during the week.
We save 3 million kWh of gas annually and reduce CO2 emissions by 544 tons per year. This is our contribution to greater sustainability in printing.
Prevention of VOC emissions
We have taken an important step toward reducing VOC emissions (volatile organic compounds) by eliminating IPA (isopropyl alcohol) from our entire production process.
By eliminating IPA in large-format offset and web offset printing, we reduce volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by around 300 tons annually—for an environmentally friendly printing plant and better air quality.

To offset our carbon footprint, we work closely with NatureOffice. This cooperation enables us to calculate the exact emissions of your order and neutralize them through certified offsetting measures.
