The whole evolution of the APPL Group has been founded on the success of multicolour sheetfed printing in the publishing arena. The strategic decision taken in the 1970 s to make strong inroads into the world of the large Size 7 format proved to be a salient one.

Our newest flagship at aprinta druck is a Size 7 sheetfed press equipped with six printing units and a coater. Together with four further single-sided presses and the three perfectors, this setup in three-shift operation enables us to achieve a capacity unequalled anywhere else in Europe.

When KBA unveiled the first reliable design of an 8-colour Size 7 perfecting press in 2002, aprinta druck became the first customer in the world to put this piece of equipment into operation.

Every book is different. Such a wide diversity of specifications, ranging from colourful paperbacks to fine art books, requires the coordinated skills of both our staff and printing presses. Among other issues, this involves identifying the optimum screen setup, the right paper and the most appropriate types of finishing and postpress in order to achieve the very best results for our customers.
