FSC® and PEFC Certification
Because forest conservation and the promotion of responsible forestry are very important to us, we had ourselves certified according to FSC® and PEFC in 2008.
Preventation of VOC emissions
Apart from this, sheetfed offset printers aprinta druck and sellier druck do not use alcohol in the production process – to prevent VOC emissions (volatile organic compounds). Our many years of experience with aprinta druck have made APPL a pioneer in alcohol-free large format offset in the printing industry.
Local environmental project "ÖKOPROFIT"
But we still have to tell you about our regional claim to environmental protection: At the Wemding location, we successfully took part in an environmental project called "ÖKOPROFIT". Through this, our annual fresh water consumption was reduced by 1,575 m³. We even reduced emissions by about 350,000 kg CO2 per annum.

However, our business card in the area of environmental protection is our commitment to the generation of solar power. The photovoltaic installations in Wemding and Würzburg achieve a total output of 1 MWp. This prevents the creation of 900,000 kg CO2 each year. At least 75 hectares of mixed forest would be needed to neutralise this volume of CO2. But even more important than this to us is the future. We are working towards a situation where our goals are in perfect harmony with environmental protection and where we can leave behind a sustainable working basis for our future employees.
