By taking over the newly founded company ROSE DRUCK GmbH, Bernd Rose is now responsible for the business operations of wwk druck GmbH in Landau. As a partner of ROSE PRINT, the APPL Group with its base in Wemding has now also come on board.
Following the insolvency of the Schlott Group in January, the future of this contemporary gravure printing company in Landau was uncertain at first. The business of wwk druck has now been bought up under a management buy-out.
In the past the Landau-based gravure printing company made a name for itself with its inline-produced advertising supplements, magazines and catalogues and with numerous custom-folded products and design options, in particular. The strategic partnership with the APPL Group gives this company additional expertise in offset printing and finishing. For the APPL Group, which took over the Sinsheimer gravure printing company PRINT.Forum in 2005, this investment is a logical further development of its gravure printing activities. APPL has about 850 employees and is a major printing company in Germany. It can look back to over 100 years of company tradition, with its main focus on offset printing and on high-quality finishing.
Both companies are clearly committed to gravure printing and want to offer their customers in the printing market a good alternative through their partnership. This will include the effective use of synergies. “By doing so,” says Bernd Rose, “both companies will gain in effectiveness, which will be of benefit to all our customers.”
